Delkevic systems

Good morning,

Anyone fitted/used a Delkevic system on their Multistrada DVT ...what do you think of it and did you have to remap post fitment. I'm interested as I don't have the budget for something more exotic either new or secondhand...

Thankyou

John

The trouble with Delkovic is many look their money. Some of them look like they have been stolen from a subaru impreza with the large open bore. So, be happy with the look otherwise it will always bug you as cheap gash. They do do some standard looking ones that appear quite reasonable. I've sent you a message

You’ll definitely have to remap it too. Any straight through exhaust will cause the engine to run leaner. Whilst you may not notice that difference your engine will and after several thousand miles will not forgive you (or the next owner).

I could explain why that is but no-one will read it as it’s too boring 🙁

I put a delkvic system on my dvt and did a write up as well on the other place. I got the full system and the decat was badly made. I would suggest you get a decat from a more reputable source. It sounded nice tho, IMO.
I wouldn¡t worry too much about remapping as it has very adaptive mapping already. Also, the ecu is not an easy one to crack. Tuneboy would not touch it when I had mine and the Rexxer had in some cases been problematic.
It might be easier in the longrun to just fit a decat and use std muffler?
