LCR Honda has confirmed that Cal Crutchlow will join the team for the 2015 MotoGP season.

The announcement, which also makes reference to the LCR's new London-based main sponsor CWM forex trading, follows an earlier statement from Ducati that Crutchlow is to leave and be replaced by Andrea Iannone.

"We want to thank Cal for his trust in our 2015 racing project and we are excited to line up with new Team colours thanks to the cooperation with CWM," said team owner Lucio Cecchinello. "In the mean time we will keep working hard to end the current season in the best way."

"The 2015 MotoGP season is looking to be a very exciting one, CWM-LCR Honda are very happy and pleased to have Cal Crutchlow on our new bike and new team colours," added CWM CEO Anthony Costantinou. "Cal is a professional, reliable, and top performer as CWMFX.COM is. Perfect synergy."

Crutchlow will be taking over Stefan Bradl's factory-class RC213V, a machine close in specification to that of reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez and Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa.

14th in this year's standings after a nightmare half-season at Ducati, Crutchlow will be returning to satellite status next year, having finished fifth and the top non-factory team rider in the 2013 standings for Tech 3 Yamaha.

While confirming Crutchlow will have the 2015 RC213V, LCR made no mention of former Moto2 champion Bradl, whose future with the team has looked uncertain for months after being unable to build on last year's debut pole and podium.

Moto3 title leader Jack Miller was a previous favourite for the LCR ride - before reports emerged that Crutchlow's 2015 Ducati agreement was not as definite as it had seemed in a press conference at World Ducati Week.

Miller may yet move to MotoGP with Honda, but on an Open class bike, while Bradl's likely options include Forward Yamaha, Aprilia and Pramac Ducati. The young German is ninth in this year's standings with a best finish of fourth.

Crutchlow will remain at Ducati until the end of the 2014 season.

He never seemed really happy at Ducati, it's probably the best move he could make. Who will be riding for the new Suzuki team next season ? anybody out there know ?

Speedweek: Viñales signs three-year deal with Suzuki
Friday, 18 July 2014
According to German publication Speedweek, Moto2™ rookie Maverick Viñales has signed a three-year deal to join the returning Suzuki MotoGP™ outfit. The second seat in the team has allegedly not been filled yet, though in the same article the German motorsport web rules out Andrea Dovizioso as he has reportedly re-signed for Ducati.

There appears to be some inconsistancy in the interpretation of the offical announcement of Crutchlow's departure.

Ducati Corse announced today that it has reached an agreement with its factory rider Cal Crutchlow to terminate, ahead of time, the contract that ties the British rider to the Italian team in MotoGP for 2014 and also for next season.

This would seem to suggest that he will not race for Ducati for remainer of season?

It does read like that.

Would be interesting to know if this was instigated by Ducati to save some dough... He's only finished 4 races so far so they're not getting much back in terms of points or data. At the time he signed the suggestion was he wanted a factory ride and also the big salary that comes with it.
