Crash Helmet Sharp scheme

I must admit I'd never heard of this but the first link explains it with the second link as the sharpe scheme

It does get a lot of bad press - not looked into it.
I was involved with BSI on a new fire helmet design for Lyon Apparel - very interesting process from concept to approval, bit of an eye opener at the time. The FEA was useless in the end and of course the tooling had to be commuted as testing was off process.

were you involved with the lazy cooontin fire monkeys?? all makes sense now!

Not too many in the industry pay much attention to the Sharp scheme. They all meet the relevant ECE standard and/or Snell and/or the new-to-be-appointed BS system.
I will be sticking to my Arai's even though they do badly in the Sharp test (hence the scepticism in the trade) until or unless I see 30 quid Chinese made helmets being worn in MotoGP ;)
