A long time ago ( not in a Galaxy far away) i read on a MV forum about swapping the bars over to make it more comfy. It was a crap idea for any bike who's clip on angle is steep
I found it twisted my wrists inwards and felt weird when riding.
I read on Ducatims that using 1098 bars on a 748/916 improved the riding position a bit.
I fitted Gilles Variobars to mine and got very comfy.
To keep the story short i needed to take them off the 748 (spares required for 1098)
I fitted the 1098 original clip ons upside down to the 748 and they are in the same position as the variobars had been.
Variobars are £330
1098 bars are from £50-100
