Ordered this on Amazon a few weeks ago and forgot about it as it was out of stock. I was mailed today to say it's on it's way. (y)

Looks a decent guide and I'll try some of the rides. 🏍️

Shouldn't it have a scan code to put the route into you phone sat-nav in this day and age

Only if you are a cheap-skate Yorkie, who uses a phone for a sat nav. 🤔

When I need a sat nav, I use a sat nav. 🤷‍♂️ Helga has 2, although I can't make phone calls on them. They also want to go to Poland 🇵🇱 all the time. 🤐

Have you been to Poland? I didn’t enjoy it one bit, it was like a cold, wet miserable afternoon in Lincolnshire, mind you there were other mitigating circumstances and if it had been warm and sunny, it probably wouldn’t have been so stressful.

No. I want to visit Auschwitz one day, but that's all I have fancied doing. 🤷‍♂️

I was bitterly disappointed with Auschwitz, don’t get me wrong I think everyone should go, but from the second we turned up there were young people in hi-viz jackets wanting 7 euros for parking, a couple of Euros for toilets and basically trying to screw the visitors for everything and anything they could, even though the upkeep of the place is to this day paid for by the British and Americans, but I digress.
While you‘re in Poland pop over to Northern Czechia, to me it was like a little Switzerland, quite a contrast from the dull, wet flatlands of Poland.

The route you have pictured is a good call.

I particularly like the sections Alston to Brampton, Keilder, and especially the B6357 towards Keilder. The A7 is good but over policed.

You loose so much by not having a physical map

we always take paper maps on holibobs even now

Good to get out the old highlighter pen so you can mark the best roads you did during the day so you remember for next time

I miss holidays :(.
Good, I wouldn’t know how to scan it in anyway 🤷‍♂️

I have the first edition from 2013 I think, real little gem of a book with some good routes.
Was due an up date as some of the roads have been..."ahem".... ruined with 50 limits 😇

If you post pictures of every page I can tell you how it compares with the first edition 😉👍

Tell you what guys.

Norf Yorks has some stunning scenery and some good brew stops too, but the NYP up there are bastards to bikers. They have no fixed cameras at all up there anywhere in the county, but have lots of mobiles and lots of unmarked cars AND bikes.

It swarms with camera's on pretty much every A road and they are all well hidden.

Its not unusual to have 3 or even 4 cameras on the same 15/20 mile stretch of road....and they are just the ones you see.

If you do venture up there on any of the popular routes or places, keep the speeds down. You have almost no chance of getting away with any antics up there.

Have you ever thought about working for the North Yorkshire Tourist Board?

It does take me back to the pre sat nav days where you had a roap map in a tank bag with a clear view top. In some ways I miss the old days where you found some great places by wondering off "the most direct route" of a sat nav. In some ways the sat nav is a bit robotic making most trips a simple a2b

I had a map stuffed inside my jacket, much more interesting 🤔🤣🤣

Are you fellas real men ? I mean, come on, what’s a ‘map’?

The usual course of action is to look at a large scale road atlas briefly the week before departing then to refuse to consult it again or, heaven forbid, stop to ask for directions.

My mate bought the map on the ferry to Belfast 😁 no preparation 🤣
