Slight change of plan for me this time. After the easy jet experience I will simply not fly with that airline again... booked up with Globespan, but for the Thursday departure and Monday return they only fly from EDINBURGH. So Edinburgh it is.

I must admit, Almeria is becoming the favourite, it's very obvious that Jerez simply don't want us there... whereas Almeria is NOT a competitve track and hence relies on testing / track days etc and is investing BIG bucks in developing the place for that reason.

It's going to be a LONG, COLD winter... after Almeria it's SIX MONTHS before the first DG track night.
 
Jerez is awesome, let no one tell you different, the track, the facility, the whole package. The "don't do this, don't do that" mentality at Jerez is a bit off. Ryan (the photographer) summed it up well - "it's f****** obvious they don't want us here".......

But like I say, the track and facility is awesome.

Almeria... hugely technical track and much more gratifying when you nail it. Jerez has no nasty surprises and is easy to learn... Almeria has loads of blind corners, full on the gas over a blind crest into a chicane.. it's got eveything - and a long straight, 950m of full on the stop fun...

As you get more confident and quicker on track, for me, Almeria is fast becoming the track of choice.

However, Park Algar.... that's a must for next year... the rules may change :D:D:D

i do Almeria every year and its my favorite. did jerez 2 years ago and thought it was fantastic too, and cant remember any negative vibes from the circuit organisers. how was the weather, cos on the 2 occasions i have been to jerez it was wet. was there a big turnout?
 
all three groups were full, and likewise it rained all day Saturday. Third time at Jerez (Sep 08, Apr 09, Sep 09) and it rained each time.

I had the Kwak with me with Pirelli Super Corsas, so I took that out and did a THREE HOUR session in the wet (10am-1pm) - and by wet I mean pishing rain... damn good fun though and sharpens you up.

Almeria in May this year was boiling hot - so really looking forward to going back.
