I had 2 x original fit ducati batteries (unbranded) which were fine but the current Yuasa always seems stronger and holds charge longer 👍

I've allways gone with Yuasa on my other bikes and I'm happy enough with them. However, when I searched the Yuasa website for the model specific battery replacement, they had none available for the 999s. Halfords website however, tells me that they have several batteries which are suitable for my "car".
I think I'll go for the YTX20L-BS.

mottobatt are good only replaced mine after 6 yrs because the RR warmed it up a little 😁
to the point the case was rippled
still held a charge tho.
So the plates got to around 250°C..... I'd change it as soon as possible.
And wash everything around the battery down to remove any acid vapour / condensate.

It never leaked, but I did change it when I put on a mosfet RR
22v was the meter reading before I changed it
a very sturdy battery

The YT12B-BS is standard fitment I think at 210CCA but if the YTX20L fits it will be much better at 270CCA - check the dimensions though L x W x H

Yes, it's (YT12B-BS) what's currently fitted. Sadly, I've just noticed that the +/- terminals are the wrong way around on the YTX20L. The next best CCA with the correct terminals is the YTX14H-BS with a CCA of 240. If the dimensions are correct, I'll get it.

That’s too big, fits the 848/1098/1198 though 🤷‍♂️
