No, I don't think you are missing something Davie! Those mirrors are aftermarket ones that may have Led's in. The other thing that bothers me is I don't think the bike is in this country. Look at the reg plate on the bike and on the back of the American lookin PU truck. The dropped kerb are not like the UK ones as they are usually less acute angle than the one in the pic. I think the pic was taken in the USA
 
Both bikes are for sale at 3500GBP (!!), Does he not have a £ sign on his keyboard? Ran a Google search on "Vernon Hills, London" and no matches. There is one for Illinois though!
Could be bikes are genuine enough if for sale in the States at $2 to the £, but given transport costs and duties and hassle why bother?
If anyone is interested why not contact him/her and ask to view the bike and see what response you get.

I think Steve is correct here, this smells of someone in the USA trying to con a few people. Vernon Hills isn't in the UK, possibly California??

Got this email about the bike

IF it does exist and it is in his possession I think there is a way of sending the money to a third party who will release it to the seller when you receive it. It will take longer than three days to get it from him even if he sent by air.
 
Scammers are the scum of the earth, i really think more effort should be put into catching these bandits !
