996 Ohlins rear shock

Is the same shock used on other ducati or other bikes? Might help widen the search?
 
Good question and thanks for pointing it out. I’m guessing the 748/916/998 all rock interchangeable shocks but not sure if that is even wider

Why not get a refurb, set up for your weight etc be better than new keeping it’s original look as aftermarket might work well but often do not suit it’s age

There’s reactive in York he has a very good reputation despite been in the york area which is rare admittedly

Gareth is hardly ever available these days, too busy running his training school and also working for BMW’s World Superbike Team - at least he was last season so probably still is 🤷‍♂️

We also have Paul though… he works for Ohlin's in BSB support too.

Very true. I go back and forth on this. The shock (and forks) have had a rebuild so the both work well and I do need to set them up for me. The shock has a few cosmetic marks which is a bit annoying as the bike is such a good example, it spoils it a bit
