860 oil leak

Hi All, this is a first for me, I have a 74 GT with an 860 right side kick. That has developed an oil leak from the kick shaft, any advice would be greatly appreciated.thanks in advance

There should be an oil seal of 20 x 26 x 4mm in the casing but if the bush is worn that might need replacing as well.

I don’t know the bevels that well, but the advice from Derek sounds to be spot on.

From the parts list. 260 is the bush and 265 is the oil seal. If the bush needs replacing the cases will need to be split.

Thanks Derek, yes ordered the O ring, the bush is on back order,
