2015 1200s DVT rubbish heated grips.

On my 2011, on high, it would melt my hands so in the colder weather it was amazing.

This 2015's heated grips are a token extra, crap, rubbish, shite - even on high they get luke warm at best. They easy to swap out? - would like to keep the original button etc.

Unless its a common issue, had a few searches but nothing concrete..

I appreciate that this does not answer the question you asked but have you considered heated gloves instead ? The 3 big benefits are that you can wear them on any bike , that they heat both the inside and outside of your hands and fingers and of course you can also wear them when cycling, walking or anytime really.
I have used RST Paragon gloves for the last couple of years and found them excellent.

I believe the latter 2018 ones were a better working heated grip as the 2015's were shit.

There are loads of options around from liners with long leads that attach to a remote battery to those like the RST that have their own built in battery that can be removed to be charged.
