pani v4 vs earlier models in looks

Ever since the V4 pani came out, I've not been a fan. It's not because I've ridden one or it's pre efforts is the pani range but solely on it's looks. To me it has always looked gash. A quite bloated middle and an after thought back end. Looking through the ebay/bike trader ads this morning and it became more obvious why

The pre v4's were porportional, balanced and seemed more to flow in looks. The V4's seem in looks, to be heavily bloated in the middle and then when they got to the seat, looks like they did a street build answer to what do we do with the seat, hold on a minute, I've got an old gixxa seat unit in the garage from my bandit street bike, that'll do. Then they realised that they needed a number plate holder so stuck on a plastic shovel.

I know looks are subjective and the v4's are probably a freat ride for some but part of owning a ducati is the look and in the pani group, the pre v4's for me are what a pani should look like.

I think the 1st iteration of the V4 looks like a crack monkey drew it, the latest V4s apart from the dual tone seat looks lovely. Smaller single wings, more vents and black subframe.
It’s now matured into something I’ll likely buy at some point.

I must say I wasn’t keen on the V4 looks to begin with but it’s definitely growing on me.
Sadly my sports bike days are over, probably…
Why have you put a picture of a 1098 up when you are comparing the V2 and V4 Pani?
I thought I’d mention it before Exi sees it..

I put a 1098 as a comparison to highlight why the v4 is a wrong un. I wasn't comparing a v2 with a v4, I was comparing earlier ducati sports models with the V4 to highlight the designs and how they show the differences
