does anyone know whether the carbon exhaust cover that covers the standard high level silencer of the 999r will also fir on the 102dB 'race' silencer of a 999s?? Cheers

There are 2 types that came with the Standard and the Asymmetric System on the 999R - one has small oval exit holes and one has large ones.

This is the standard system Carbon Cover that came with the 999R and the one below is the Termi Asymmetric System Carbon Cover that also came with the 999R. Oval exit hole size and swaged design is different... the lower also fits the full System. These are 2003 / 2004 items, I don't think they changed them for 05/06

They must have changed for the later model if that’s a genuine Ducati part - it’s deffo got the small holes so won’t fit the asymmetric Termi or full system 👍
My pictures are from the Ducati DP catalogue.

the heatshields were different Stu.
As you say, one was a carbon heatshield version of the metal roadbike OEM silencer shield and designed around being a direct replacement for the bit of pressed tin.
The Asymmetric Termignoni silencer got it's own heatshield which was a different style to the metal in it's debossed pockets, and as you say the holes were different as the Assymetric openings were larger than the stock OEM silencer, and yes, no change between pre /post facelift.

So what’s the one in post 4, as it’s different to the 2 in my post 🤔

Can you see them now Sev?
Yup.
Its the same as stu’s top picture.
Some of the aftermarket ones lifted the mould straight off the tin one, hence the crease in them on the top, but some also have the swage line on the side.

that one in those pics is on ebay at the moment.

I know. Leftus has a few bits of bike gear for sale on ebay. I suspect the seeking clarification was more to help his advert than anything else 😂

Looks different to me, different undulations 👀

Fucktifiknow then.
Either way, what you’re looking at is either an oem silencer or larger assymetric.
The oe silencer shields just seem to be lifted from the tin heat shield, whereas the termi ones are a bit more bespoke.

my 749 asymmetric silencer has the shield like your second pic, as does the titanium 50mm full system for it.
