Biker Down Course

while down at the London Motorcycle show I got chatting to a couple of firefighters from Kent who were promoting the biker down programme.

They basically explained to me it was an initiative to train bikers to help fellow bikers in an accident before the emergency services arrived and due to some of the remote locations we bikers were it could help save lives .

When I got back I contacted Scotland fire service and I am now attending a course on the 22nd April at Motherwell fire station, anyone that is interested can get info at

A few of us did one of these a few years ago, very worthwhile.

Robbie if you mean the Paramed UK course that we did at Falkirk in november 2012 then our certificates expired on 11th November 2015. I for one could do with
a refresher course so the biker down course could be just the job. Could we do this through the club again and get some folks interested?

I remember it was spoken about doing a refresher with Paramed at the time but they had put the prices up sky high, so biker down is free and worthwhile.

Aye, that's the one, was just thinking about this the other day when I took my certificate down off the wall in my spare room and saw it had ran out in 2015.
I agree, would be worthwhile to run again or attend something like the bikerdown to refresh.

well attended todays course and I can recommend this course to any biker, information and training provided is something I hope I never have to use but if I did I would be more confident in an emergency
