Pibbows end of season Bash

just a wee update ...

the draw has been completed and you should all have received pm's by now with the name of the person you are buying the Secret Witches Cauldron pressie for. (obviously if you have not receive a pm from me and you are attending the Bash please let me know cos I have really screwed up then:banghead: )

Pressies to be around a fiver and can be what ever you want - funny, serious, off the wall or just plain daft - the choice is up to you;)

Good luck with the shopping - see you all on Saturday  :D :D :D

But didn't you end up with the Donny Osmond calendar?

Anyway, YES, great idea Lynn, count me in. If you desperately need a lady witch I suppose if you twist my arm I'll do it kicking and screaming

See you there. We're thinking of taking the car over if anyone needs a lift from Newcastle area

Any chance that Jane (my other half ) and I can share a lift? If not then is anybody else from around the northeast going? TIA.

Would love to have come over, but now officially f****d, too much work, so priority needs to go to the beast that pays the bills. Have a good one, Pete, enjoy your off season holiday, and we'll no doubt meet up again either in DG or Knockers when the sun shines again  :D

Take care all those going over - ice and crap is about much earlier than I can ever remember before... don't think it snowed once last year before Xmas, yet Inverness and Aberdeen have had snow today :banghead: :dunno: :D

och you're a wuss Stuart ... skip the golf and come along for some fun on Saturday night. you can be back earlyish on sunday to catch up with work then!

guy n girls I'm rather stating the obvious here but please don't forget to put the name on the pressies or it could turn out extra interesting:D

Even the golf's at risk... we're in the middle of a fairly heavy tender at the moment and I really need to get 10 uninterrupted hours to nail it - so that's either Saturday or Sunday :( :( . See, this is what happens when you buy Desmosedicis, you need to work your butt off to pay for it :D :D

Y'all have a damn fine time, y'hear...

Hi Jan,
Been on Arran many times over the last 31 years and always on my bike. Way back in the late seventies early eighties it was the place to go at Easter and September weekends. Many a fond memory. Over the years they have got worse though.

Great times with lots of pubs/hotels catering purely for bikers with heavy rock nights etc drink/drugs and rock and roll. On the Saturday on some occasions we turned Arran into our own TT course - slowing down for villages of course - 56 miles of pure delight. The section from Blackwaterfoot along the coast line towards Brodick was something else. As we moved into the eighties motorcycle cops started coming over with us on the boat. Those that had drunk or something else too much were told to push their bikes of the boat and park up in Brodick until fit to drive. Mostly it was lots of guys/gals ages from late teens to early twenties - boy have times changed when you visit meets these days.
Some memories of a bygone age in my youth. Feel like an old man.

Hi,
Just to make you jealous - beautiful crisp sunny day and heading home from work in around 30mins to pick up my already packed rucksack and hopefully Veronica when she comes home from work and head to Adrossan for the boat to Arran.
Can't wait.

Geoff

Sitting in school, Ardrossan Academy, looking over to Arran. Snow topped hills surrounded by a sparkling, calm sea, beautiful.

Have a good run. See you tomorrow.
