Image Size

Two issues here.
We seem to have a smaller image size limitation than the another place.

1/ Could we up the size limit without incurring any substation costs?
2/ Could we automatically resize the pictures on upload to optimise them for our screen size?

Please bear in mind that probably half of us are technical dullards who are incapable of resizing pictures on our own.
Also could we add a rotation tool to make the pictures the right way up/around?

Image limitation size has been increased but bear in mind the bigger the image size uploaded the longer it will take to download to a viewer's screen and we've all experienced that loooonnng wait whilst an image loads.

With the addition of a module images can be automatically resized on upload which will reduce say an 8mb image to whatever has been prescribed in the image resizing software. This will enable users to upload an image in it's native resolution from their devices and is presently on the ToDo list. However, that will not automatically resize on download to a viewers screen; resizing of the downloaded image is a function of the users browser that adjusts the web page and any images therein according to the display size of the receiving device.

It should be noted that most modern smart phones providing they are running the latest version of iOS or Android will have an image resize option as part of the process when uploading images to the web. Perhaps I should write a HowTo on it

I'm afraid only a human can determine the desired rotation of an image for other humans.

There shouldn't be any images with any nudity. 'Glamour' shots are permissible, scantily clad bodies draped over motorbikes etc are permissible but full on nudity will be deleted. The recent images of the body painted Italian model are borderline acceptable. If you see anything please report it.
