Yep ... price of car plus duty plus 23% vat then vehicle registration tax.VRT is another 35% roughly again on higher end cars ... as I say double the UK price to allow for exchange rates and tax and it's pretty close to the price here

The Dutch do the same , they call it BVB comes on top of BTW which is Dutch VAT, it makes for crazy prices, on top of that roadtax is way more per month then you would pay here per year

A lot of the comments said the same. I doubt he’ll get back what he’s spent on it either.
I get why he’s kept the Project Jags though - he was involved in them as on the payroll at JLR Special Projects when they were conceived, and the 7 is the first one I think. And he uses the other as a track car aswell as other trips.

If it was my collection I’d sell the Jag Coupe (actually prefer the saloon…it’s more balanced looking) and the Porsche - if it’s worth what he’s saying, c. £300+k, I’d cash it and get a 993 Turbo S.

I know it’s against popular opinion, but I’d take the Espada over the Jag…and I like Jags, especially XJs.

Interesting he expected the Jag to make 85k. You can reproduce it for 110k in the spec you want, so a chunk was because of the history and fame.

Both lovely cars though. And I’d fancy that blue RS4 too.
