I have already heard 6 times this morning that they have the team to win it this year.
GIVE ME STRENGTH.
We will back & cheers them on, but I really dont need all this hype already.
 
I gave up on the Scottish national football team years and years ago when I saw the direction they were heading in. We simply don't have decent quality players at our disposal and even Jose Mourinho couldn't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Blaming a succession of managers is not addressing the problem. The football infrastructure of this country needs dismantled and completely rebuilt. However, that would mean the end for the "blazer culture" and "jobs for the boys" as epitomised by the SFA's George Peat and Gordon Smith. But we all know that turkeys don't vote for Christmas.....:rolleyes:

As for the Tartan Army, I can't stick them. I don't want Johnny Foreigner thinking that we're all ginger, stepped off the top of a shortbread tin, and that "Brigadoon" is a documentary. As for their "Doe a deer" pish, what's that all about? :confused: And to top it all, pre-game we now have sad old Ronnie Brown struggling to sing and keep time with our dirge-like "national anthem" and randomly shouting "come on". :o Aaaaaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh :comp2:

As for England, now that I've grown up from my Wembley '79 and similar escapades, I wish them well in the tournament. They have put some serious markers down in qualifying, have some top class players and a great manager who seems to be able to handle and control the various egos that must be present in the squad. Let's not kid ourselves...if Scotland had a team of their quality our press, media and fans would be foaming at the mouth at the thought of next year's tournament. And if we'd won the World Cup at any time in our history, I'm sure they'd still be going on about it.

Rant over. I await the abuse. :p

Cant argue with any of that....Im tempted with a £50 bet for England to win the WC myself.

I actually enjoy watching Gerard a co playing. :thumbs:

But its funny watching them go out on penalties year after year ;) :D

Been to the W.C. in Spain & France & was hoping to be in South Africa.:mad::mad:

Congrats to the English Squad as they are TOPS, but it will be all the hype now that will get on my Tits.
No offence to the team as they are only out with one goal in mind & that is the trophy.

Just wish we had the money, the CORRECT Backroom staff & the boardroom punch to get a team together.
Roll on the U-21 side who look a tasty team.

you forgot the ability to actually play football ....if it wasnt for foreign players the scottish league would be $hite ....but then again i dont follow football ...and have better things to spend my time and cash on then watch overpayed and overrated numpties kick a ball about ..i can do that wen we have a kick about ;)

oh by the way ..im acting as agent provacatur :D

the english press,and commentators go fcuk yourselves. i already know you will hype it up to the nth degree before a ball is kicked and you will always blame someone else if you dont win this time round . and we wont even mention how biased the commentators will be. and finally i couldnt give a monkeys toss about the wags, slags whatever they are. i really,REALLY dont need to know who went shopping and who went to the beach or that once again posh is really nice in person .
