Access denied

I'm currently mostly working from home, but 1 day per week I'm in the office.
I was in yesterday, for the first time since joining this forum.

I'm lucky enough to enjoy almost unhindered access to the internet at work, having Senior Management Team benefits and the authority to turn off my firewall if I feel it is necessary.

I belong to a few Forums for Bikes, Boats and land Rovers, and don't have any issues accessing them at work, I can use Ebay, youtube, and all social media platforms if I wanted to. Even 'Adult' sites are available to me if I felt I could justify turning off my firewall.
I'm not however allowed access via a final firewall to any sites selling weapons, or considered linked to criminal activity or subversion.

But, this site is the fist site I have Ever tried to open and been denied access to, despite turning off my firewall to test it.

I can't explain why your browser is giving you that message. The site is using TLS1.2 with a current and valid certificate provided by Digicert and all traffic to/from the server is encrypted which you should be able to check by clicking on the padlock in your browser search bar.

What browser are you using?
 
top of the range ASUS Firewall, VPN and Ive got a secure padlock on Edge, Chrome and Brave
 
Hey Goat.

I tried Chrome, Firefox and IE, and it got blocked by all 3.

Obviously it's OK using my personal machine at home.

The IT crew where I work don't have a lot of control over the 'final' firewall at group in the States but have suggested 2 things.

The .community designation doesn't help as that's been abused by people starting communities about political subjects.

But it's most likely because the site is so new. They believe the Algorithm searches for history and when it doesn't see anything it will default to bad.

I'm going to try again when I'm in the office next and see what happens.

Obviously I have to be a bit careful as it's not exactly work related.

Goto Internet Options, click on advanced tab and scroll down to security.



Verify the following are checked:

Use TLS 1.0

Use TLS 1.1

Use TLS 1.2



Uncheck: Use SSL 3.0 !



If they are not then check them and click apply. Close the browser and open a new, then try to open the site.
 
Without looking in the IE or now Edge.. Internet option in the 2nd or 3rd tab this there was or still is throttle type tab where could adjust how much or too little you can access ie trusted sites or the less too allow untrusted unrestricted site through your firewall... its many moons since i had faff around with that...

Do you really need access to the this site everyday at all times ?

My worx block gaming, gambling sites netflix is block and porn i can manage without....
 
Thanks guys, but as I've said this is going through a firewall on a server in the states at group headquarters.
We don't exactly have much fine control over things like that.

I don't need to access it all day of course, I only pointed it out as it's really odd that it's the only site, and it could help The Goat to understand why.
