Tool chest, the ones I was looking at, ALL originate in the USA.I thought all snap on stuff was built in the states and they list thier production facilities in the U.S. ?
They also have many other brands they own and I wonder if any of those are operating with made in China kit? This shows the Snap on owned companies

As with all manufacture, the country isn't specific to the quality - the brand and manufacturing facilities are. I would imagine Snap-On are made to their specifications with a China internal copyright on the style. The same factory however will also make other styles and brands, likely from the same materials using the same bearings, just a different style.Having worked out there for +10 years I've no issue with Far East production (ok.. I hate the Scrambler).
The issue is the specification and build quality.
Did you find out who else sells the same tool chests where the Snap-on range is made, because I haven't.
Nor do I really want to spend more than two bags of sand meeting my requirement, with Snap-on that would be about £25K.
There is a lot of barely adequate shite out there.
Yes they are - check out what a Certificate of Origin means before getting out of your depth yet again - and stick to AirCon and misplaced Insults which you are good atNo they aren't.

So you couldn't find any proof that the advertising and certificates of origin* supplied with the Snap-on Tool chests, saying they are made in the good old US of A is incorrect. Thank you.Yes they are - check out what a Certificate of Origin means before getting out of your depth yet again - and stick to AirCon and misplaced Insults which you are good at![]()

You know you are wrong, and quoting Origins is rather futile as well you know - what can I say, you just don’t like to admit when you’re wrongSo you couldn't find any proof that the advertising and certificates of origin* supplied with the Snap-on Tool chests, saying they are made in the good old US of A is incorrect. Thank you.
And I've been importing goods and selling them a lot longer than you Stu.
And I don't think USA manufacture would be automatically any better than China.
I'm just trying to find a good quality product at sensible money.....
The Chinese are VERY good a making the exact same product time and time again.
Shit in = Shit out.....
Good In = Good Out....
Quick question how many USA and Chinese factories have you inspected/visited during your career?
Honestly all this crap without a shred of correct information... I'll be calling your Mandelslime mk2
Back at yer with your misplaced assumptions.

I accept that some people/organizations aren't 100% truthful on them, as they are policed by complaint and hard to prove. You know you are wrong, and quoting Origins is rather futile as well you know - what can I say, you just don’t like to admit when you’re wrong![]()
Yes: SGS are fab quality and price and sourced from the same part of the world as Snap-OnI accept that some people/organizations aren't 100% truthful on them, as they are policed by complaint and hard to prove.
Quite happy to admit when I wrong, which doesn't apply in this case. Noted that you have failed to address the questions asked in all the previous posts.
Do you actually have anything useful in regard to the sourcing of a quality tool chest?
Cool.Yes: SGS are fab quality and price and sourced from the same part of the world as Snap-On
Halfords Proffessional are good too![]()
Bahco make great tools, however the images (not seen any in person, as I can't find anyone who has them IN STOCK) of the tool chest seem to indicate these are very similar to others lower down the food chain.I’ve had a halfords 5 draw chest for about 10yrs still works perfectly
noticed they are selling bahco tool chests now , isn’t bahco part of the snap on group
